Job summary

ASAPP in New York is seeking a hands-on leader to build and scale the Agent Developer team within Delivery, owning recruitment, development, and ongoing growth of AI agents for our enterprise customers.

You’ll design frameworks, playbooks, and standards that guide the team, while partnering with Forward Deployed Engineers and Project Managers to ensure smooth handoffs from initial intake to long-term maintenance. This is a true player-coach role that blends leadership with practical execution.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a technical delivery, implementation, or solutions team, preferably in a customer-facing software or AI environment.
• Track record designing frameworks, playbooks, or operating models from scratch.
• Strong instincts for delivering a great customer experience with a technical product.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the Agent Developer function; hire, develop, and grow a team building and maintaining AI agents for enterprise customers.
• Design the frameworks, systems, and standards used to build agents, beyond just executing existing ones.
• Identify what’s working across agent builds and drive changes; don’t wait to be asked.
• Collaborate with Forward Deployed Engineers and Project Managers for smooth handoffs from intake to long-term maintenance.
• Create a culture of proactive guidance, craftsmanship, and high standards with clear direction.
• Act as a player-coach by building from scratch while developing people for scale.
• Bring structure to a growing function with clear systems, playbooks, and working methods.
