Job summary

Valerie Health is seeking a Director of Agent Operations to build and lead a team deploying AI agents for complex healthcare workflows. You will oversee delivery from discovery through launch, and continuously expand agent capabilities in production.

You'll hire, set priorities and standards, and partner with Engineering, Product, and Customer Strategy to translate customer needs into scalable, reusable tools and practices that drive value for clients and accelerate Valerie Health's growth.

Qualifications

• 6-10+ years across consulting, strategy & operations, solutions engineering, technical implementation, analytics, finance, product, or related roles, including experience leading teams and hands-on experience at a high-growth startup.
• Strong team leadership with a track record of hiring, developing, and scaling high-performing teams.
• Customer-facing judgment with ability to translate needs and set expectations.
• Hands-on technical judgment across code, APIs, and data; able to ship reliable customer-specific code and know when to escalate.
• Analytical rigor to weigh impact, urgency, effort, and long-term scalability.
• High-velocity, hands-on execution delivering across technical and nontechnical teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the team; hire exceptional talent and establish structure and standards for a growing function.
• Translate customer needs into reliable AI agents; lead discovery, define behavior, and align scope and timelines.
• Own agent delivery from design to testing; ensure reliability and determine engineering support needs.
• Expand automation post-launch by using performance data to prioritize improvements.
• Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering, Product, Customer Strategy and Operations.
• Create reusable workflows, tests, tools, and practices to accelerate delivery and improve agents.
