Job summary

Sanofi is seeking a visionary Head of Agentic Biology in Cambridge, MA to lead AI‑driven discovery across immunology, oncology, neuroscience, and rare diseases. Qualifications

• PhD in AI/ML, immunology, mathematics, physics, biomedical engineering, computational biology, bioinformatics, or related STEM field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML; biotech/pharma or academia preferred.
• Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks and autonomous workflow orchestration.
• Hands-on experience with AI for Science tools and platforms in biology (e.g., Owkin K-Pro, Google Co-Scientist, Phylo, Mithrl, EMET, PandaOmics, NVIDIA BioNeMo Agent Toolkit, Claude Science).
• Knowledge of biological foundation models (protein language models, genomic models) and multimodal data integration.
• Proven leadership of matrix and international teams in biopharma or research environments.
• Deep expertise in disease/target biology across immunology, inflammation, oncology, neuroscience, rare diseases, ophthalmology.
• Experience with multi-omics, imaging, NGS, and diverse patient datasets.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of agentic bioinformatics workflows automating data capture, analysis, and insight across programs.
• Shift from reactive data analysis to proactive, predictive autonomous biological reasoning systems.
• Advance target discovery using multi-modal disease data (genomics, single-cell, proteomics, imaging, clinical data).
• Provide strategic direction across Sanofi's therapeutic areas leveraging agentic technologies.
• Deliver computational insights informing go/no-go portfolio decisions and target validation.
• Translate computational discoveries into experimental validation strategies.
• Present complex data and recommendations to senior leadership with scientific rigor.
• Oversee bioinformatics infrastructure, data modeling, pipeline development, AI/ML, DataOps, ModelOps, and cloud-native platforms.
• Mentor and coach multidisciplinary teams and foster international collaboration.
