Job summary

Jambalaya Group seeks a Director of Advisor Development to lead coaching, training, and accountability for Financial Advisors and Associate Financial Advisors. Reporting to the Managing Partner, this leader will strengthen advisor skills and client outcomes across locations, driving comprehensive advice and effective client communications.

Candidate profile includes 7+ years in financial services with 5+ years in people leadership; insurance experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Seven+ years of progressive financial-services experience, including advisor development.
• Minimum of five years of demonstrated people leadership, coaching, or development responsibilities.
• Meaningful insurance experience and ability to coach on protection strategies within a financial plan.
• Proven track record of developing early-career professionals and creating accountability without sacrificing trust or engagement.
• Strong facilitation, feedback, communication, and performance-management skills.
• Working knowledge of advisor licensing, credentialing, and financial-services regulatory expectations.
• Willingness to travel to practice locations as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for advisor development and drive progress against strategic measures.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching and group mentoring sessions.
• Build and deliver a dedicated educational curriculum for new Associate Financial Advisors.
• Lead structured accountability sessions translating priorities into measurable execution.
• Use SMART goals and data to identify execution gaps and help advisors create actionable plans.
• Develop and continuously improve a comprehensive advisor development program.
• Coordinate licensing, credentialing, and education with leadership and compliance.
• Provide quarterly progress reports on advisor performance against goals.
• Travel to practice locations and events as needed.
