Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Director of Accreditation and Assessment to lead institutional effectiveness efforts, oversee accreditation processes with The Commission, and coordinate campus engagement with accreditors.

The role directs implementation of program and unit assessment, guides data systems, advises leadership on accreditation implications, and ensures evidence-based improvement across the university. This is a full-time role on UT Main Campus.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education, educational research, assessment and evaluation, public administration, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in higher education accreditation, assessment, institutional effectiveness, or closely related work.
• Experience drafting accreditation narratives or reports and organizing supporting evidence; knowledge of accreditation requirements.
• Experience leading complex projects involving multiple units and coordinating timelines.
• Ability to communicate effectively with faculty, leadership, and external agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead institutional accreditation efforts and serve as the campus liaison to The Commission on Colleges.
• Oversee university-wide assessment activities including academic programs, units, and general education.
• Manage data systems for assessment and provide analysis to inform planning and improvement.
• Provide training and development for faculty and staff on assessment methods and Rubrics.
• Coordinate vendor management for accreditation tools and campus launches.
