Job summary

Georgetown University’s Office of Accessibility Services seeks a Director to supervise the OAS within the Office of the Dean of Students. The role ensures JD and LLM students with disabilities receive reasonable accommodations under local and federal law and coordinates accommodations for temporary illnesses or pregnancy-related conditions.

Qualifications

• Master's degree and 5+ years directly-related experience required.
• JD or related degree strongly preferred.
• Experience managing projects, budgets, and people in higher education.
• Subject matter expertise in ADA and Section 504.
• Experience supporting law students and collaborating with faculty preferred.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and adapt to high workload.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the OAS staff and oversee accommodations review.
• Directly handle a small student caseload and complex accommodations.
• Oversee and provide support for MPRE and bar exam accommodations.
• Manage OAS budget and allocate resources.
• Collaborate with Dean of Students and other colleagues on priorities.
• Represent the function to students, staff, faculty, and leadership.
• Oversee selection and implementation of case management and assistive technologies.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility laws and universal design advocacy.
• Train faculty and staff on accessibility best practices.
• Oversee the OAS website and communications.
