NYC Health + Hospitals Bellevue is seeking a Head Nurse for the Mother/Baby unit to lead nursing regimens, guide staff, and ensure high-quality patient care in a pediatric inpatient setting.

The role requires an active New York RN license and BLS certification, with at least 2 years of head nurse experience. The schedule is full-time day shift (7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.) in New York, NY, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as Head Nurse preferred.
• Current RN License in New York State.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Direct development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing regimens for patients.
• Schedule, assign, guide, and instruct nursing personnel in nursing activities.
• Identify and discriminate between physical and psycho-social signs and symptoms.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate nursing regimens for assigned patients.
• Record and maintain nursing care plans and progress notes for continuity of care.
• Interpret and report patient responses to appropriate health team members.
• Participate in planning comprehensive patient care programs with interdisciplinary teams.
• Provide teaching, guidance, and direction to allied nursing personnel.
• Participate in defining and maintaining standards of nursing practice.
• Conduct conferences to develop nursing care plans and promote staff development.
