Job summary

Qualifications

• A valid New York State RN license and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
• Holds, or obtains through facility orientation, a valid and current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Acute care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care under supervision and within an assigned unit.
• Diagnose and treat responses to actual or potential health problems using nursing methods.
• Perform health teaching and health counseling to patients and families.
• Develop, implement and continuously evaluate the nursing care plans for patients.
• Record and maintain nursing notes to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary health team members to plan comprehensive patient care.
