Job summary

Park County School District 6 is seeking an athletic coach dedicated to developing fundamental sports skills and knowledge across all students. The role emphasizes creating a supportive atmosphere for individual progress, while monitoring, evaluating, and reinforcing performance.

Responsibilities include designing drills, managing equipment, enforcing safety rules, and maintaining confidentiality. The coach will model techniques and communicate clearly with players, parents, and staff to foster

Qualifications

• Possess all certificates required for the State of Wyoming.
• Possess current CPR certification.
• Possess current First Aid certification.
• Have fundamental knowledge of the sport.
• Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries course.
• Ability to select from a variety of instruction methods to teach activity objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop drill and practice activities that teach and enhance individual/team skill development.
• Develop and maintain an inventory list of equipment.
• Prepare and implement a schedule of checking out, maintaining, and checking in equipment.
• Plan and enforce appropriate safety and health rules and regulations.
• Develop a supervision plan that ensures safety and welfare of students at all times.
• Maintain confidentiality about students and others.
• Present a professional appearance.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, supervisors, peers and spectators.
• Receive, understand and follow directions.
• Model/demonstrate activities and equipment to develop basic skills.
• Observe, diagnose, and prescribe remediation during practice and games.
• Apply developmental stages of the game to team/players' needs.
