Job summary

Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC is seeking experienced Advanced Practice Providers for the Head and Neck Surgical Oncology team within the Department of Surgery.

The role supports a team of five surgeons and four APPs with a schedule of four ten-hour days and no required call, nights, or holidays. DEA licensure and credentialing as an NP or PA are required or anticipated, with opportunities for academic involvement.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Nurse Practitioner – Master’s Degree or Doctorate of Nursing Practice required.
• Physician Assistant – Master’s Degree preferred; certification from a national certifying body preferred.

Responsibilities

• Function independently in inpatient settings with emphasis on operative management of acutely ill patients in collaboration with a supervising physician.
• Assist in complex surgical cases in the operating room.
• Perform pre-operative history and physicals and ongoing outpatient surveillance.
• Attend and participate in weekly Head and Neck multidisciplinary educational conferences that earn CME credit.
• Attend and contribute to group meetings and policies.”
