Job summary

Atrium Health Levine Cancer is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in oncology for inpatient care in Charlotte, NC. The role supports diagnosis and treatment of oncologic disorders and may involve early phase clinical trial patients.

The position is full-time, 40 hours, daytime shifts (four 10-hour days) with occasional holidays, back-up call, and no night shifts. Teaching opportunities with APP and Physician Fellows are available.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• Must hold Acute Care NP or PA license in North Carolina.
• Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
• BLS for healthcare provider from AHA required.
• Nurse practitioners require a master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice.
• Physician Assistants with NCCPA certification preferred; CAQ preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs medical history, exams, and daily assessments.
• Writes prescriptions for treatments and medications.
• Orders and interprets laboratory and radiology examinations.
• Determines treatment plans in coordination with a multidisciplinary team.
• Documents all patient encounters in the medical record.
• Conducts chemotherapy education in collaboration with pharmacy.
