Job summary

Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a translational scientist focused on biomarkers, immuno-oncology, cellular engineering, genetics, virology, and vaccine development in head and neck cancers. The role includes leading program development, mentoring junior faculty, and expanding translational efforts with opportunities for leadership and an endowed Chair.

• MD and/or PhD or relevant advanced degree.
• Independent research program with extramural funding.
• Strong publication record.
• Leadership and mentoring experience.
• National recognition in the field.
• Evidence of multidisciplinary team-building and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Translate discoveries to clinical interventions through advanced clinical trials and translational research.
• Lead expansion and development of scientific programs in head and neck cancers.
• Mentor junior faculty, promote grant writing and program development.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center.
