Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Head of Experimental Sciences for the CGI translational tumor immunology program. The role will supervise and perform advanced experimental research in tumor and immune cell enrichment, cytometry, and sequencing prep.

The successful candidate will lead a team, develop SOPs and training, and collaborate with program directors and bioinformatics staff to deliver impactful publications and grants, with a potential sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• PhD in Immunology or related discipline with extensive immunology training.
• Five+ years post-PhD experience in immunology research with technical expertise in tumor and immune cell enrichment and culture, cytometry, and sequencing prep.
• Experience supervising experimental scientists in a goal-oriented team environment.
• Excellence in experimental planning, execution, and project management in research collaborations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a translational tumor immunology program and supervise experimental translational research.
