Qualifications

• Experience coaching baseball and developing fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Middle School Baseball program, practices, games, and activities.
• Plan organized practices focused on fundamentals, game knowledge, teamwork, and conditioning.
• Teach sportsmanship, discipline, accountability, and commitment.
• Create a positive team culture encouraging confidence, respect, and growth.
• Communicate with student-athletes, parents, and administrators.
• Coordinate game-day logistics with opponents and athletic staff.
• Ensure activities comply with Bayside Academy policies.
• Monitor behavior, attendance, eligibility, and academics.
• Collaborate with Athletic Department and coaches to uphold program goals.
• Maintain supervision and safety at all events.

Job Details

Job Location: Bayside Academy - Daphne, AL 36526, Bayside Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Head Middle School Baseball Coach to lead our middle school baseball program. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a positive, competitive, and developmentally appropriate experience for student-athletes while promoting teamwork, sportsmanship, discipline, and personal growth.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the Middle School Baseball program, including practices, games, and team activities.
• Plan and conduct organized, purposeful practices focused on developing fundamental baseball skills, game knowledge, teamwork, and physical conditioning.
• Teach student-athletes the importance of sportsmanship, discipline, accountability, and commitment.
• Create a positive team culture that encourages confidence, respect, effort, and personal growth.
• Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, school administrators, and other coaches.
• Manage game-day responsibilities and coordinate with opposing teams and athletic department staff as needed.
• Ensure that all team activities are conducted in accordance with Bayside Academy and athletic department policies.
• Monitor student-athlete behavior, attendance, eligibility, and academic responsibilities.
• Work collaboratively with the Athletic Department and other coaches to support the overall goals and philosophy of Bayside Athletics.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and safety standards at all practices, games, and team activities.
• Participate in required coaching meetings, professional development, and other athletic department responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Previous baseball coaching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of baseball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
• Experience working with middle school or adolescent student-athletes preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and families.
• Commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and positive athletic environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, coaches, and school administration.
