Media & Communications Specialist | Assistant Sports Information Director for LaGrange College Athletics

Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, the Head Men's Lacrosse Coach will provide leadership and guidance for all aspects of the men's lacrosse program. Responsibilities include creating optimal playing conditions, recruiting, roster development, managing budgets, and overseeing game personnel and staff.

Job Duties (not an exhaustive list):

• Develop and maintain a recruitment system, collaborating with high school and college coaches, and parents to attract quality student-athletes.
• Encourage the development of psychological, social, and mental skills for student-athletes' success academically, athletically, and personally.
• Coordinate with Admissions to facilitate student-athlete registration and administrative processes.
• Create practice plans, game strategies, and coordinate workouts and conditioning.
• Exemplify ethical and professional conduct as a role model for student-athletes.
• Represent LaGrange College at community, civic, fundraising, and marketing events.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Oversee the program's budget and men's lacrosse work-study students.
• Manage game day operations for home games and assist with lacrosse camps.
• Handle all daily operations of a successful collegiate program.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree required; master's preferred.
• 3-5 years of successful collegiate coaching experience preferred.
• Experience competing at the collegiate level is preferred.
• Ability to evaluate physical performance related to men's lacrosse.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to evaluate athletic performance.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Effective communication with students, parents, recruits, coaches, and community leaders.
• Supportive team player with leadership qualities to foster academic and athletic success.
