The role involves rotating shifts; contract-to-hire with competitive hourly pay and strict adherence to customer and transportation

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating daily loading/unloading of steel pipe and tubular products.
• Ability to direct forklift/crane/wheel loader operators during loading.
• Ensure shipment accuracy and material traceability.
• Verify orders and inspect loads for safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily loading and unloading activities for steel pipe and tubular products
• Direct forklift, crane, and wheel loader operators during loading operations
• Verify all customer orders prior to shipment
• Ensure proper loading, securing, and transportation preparation of pipe products
• Inspect loads for compliance with customer specifications and transportation requirements
• Coordinate loading of trucks, railcars, and containers
• Accurately tally pipe quantities during receiving, storage, and shipping operations
• Verify pipe lengths, diameters, wall thicknesses, schedules, grades, and quantities
• Record heat numbers, lot numbers, bundle numbers, and customer identification requirements
• Maintain accurate tally sheets and inventory records
• Ensure material traceability is maintained throughout all yard operations
• Reconcile physical inventory against shipping and receiving documentation
• Verify incoming and outgoing materials against bills of lading, packing lists, purchase orders, and customer orders
• Inspect pipe for proper identification, markings, damage, and specification compliance
• Confirm shipment accuracy before release
• Review Material Test Reports (MTRs) and supporting documentation when required
• Identify discrepancies and communicate issues to supervisors and warehouse personnel
• Ensure all shipping documentation is complete and accurate
