Job Summary:
Supervise, train and schedule entry level lifeguards in every aspect of the job.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Enforce all facility policies, rules, and regulations.
- Coordinate orientation for new lifeguards, supervise and schedule, and evaluate (with the Aquatics Director) performance of lifeguards.
- Review incident and accident reports with the staff & return to Aquatics Director.
- Act as liaison between patrons and guards.
- Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies.
- Inspect the facility on a daily schedule and report unsafe conditions and equipment to supervisor.
- Complete appropriate records and reports.
- Attend and participate in all in‑service training as a requirement of employment.
- Responsible for work hours. Must obtain a substitute when unable to work.
- Keep all certifications current.
- Complete 500 yards every 2 weeks.
- Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be a high school graduate or GED equivalent.
- American Red Cross Lifeguard Training.
- American Red Cross First Aid & CPR for the Professional Rescuer.
- American Red Cross Head Lifeguard Module preferred.
- Must have obtained (or will obtain) valid PA Criminal, PA Child Abuse and FBI Criminal History Background Checks within the last twelve (12) months.
