Job summary

Yarnley House Care Home near Ringwood is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead the housekeeping team and ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation across the home. You will oversee residents' rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to create a safe, welcoming environment.

You will manage daily operations, coordinate tasks, monitor quality, oversee supplies, and provide training and leadership to staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and infection control.
• Ability to manage workload, priorities and team performance.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing cleaning of residents' rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas.
• Coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control and health and safety procedures.
• Monitor quality, manage supplies and support training and leadership of staff.
• Ensure the service is well organised and responsive across departments.
• Work with the team to maintain a safe, welcoming environment; rotate weekends as required.

Job description

Our brand-new, luxury service is set in the small village of Crow, which is very close to Ringwood. We provide quality Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for 72-residents.

• £13.52 per hour
• Contracted to 40 hours per week
• Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
• 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview

As Head Housekeeper, you will take overall responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment is maintained at all times. This is a key leadership role where your standards and attention to detail will directly impact daily life and overall experience.

You will lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing the cleaning of residents' rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.

Working closely with other departments, you will ensure a well organised and responsive service. You will monitor quality, manage supplies and support your team through training, guidance and leadership, creating a positive and high performing environment.

The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.
