Job summary

The Inn Collection Group in Durham is seeking a Head Housekeeper to lead a busy housekeeping team at The Kingslodge Inn. You’ll ensure spotless rooms, set high standards of cleanliness, and respond promptly to guest requests to maintain a welcoming atmosphere.

You’ll train staff, manage linen and supplies, oversee safety, and report to the General Manager. If you excel at calm leadership, meticulous detail, and delivering heartfelt hospitality, this role welcomes you to our award-winning team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading housekeeping teams in hospitality.
• Strong attention to detail and high cleanliness standards.
• Excellent communication with guests and staff.
• Ability to train and mentor new team members.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of guest rooms and public areas to high standards.
• Train, supervise and motivate the housekeeping team.
• Manage linen, supplies and equipment; maintain stock levels.
• Ensure safety and hygiene policies are followed; report issues to GM.
• Monitor guest requests and respond promptly to maintain guest satisfaction.

You’ll Fit Right Inn

As Head Housekeeper, you’ll bring your friendly, detail-oriented nature to the role, ensuring a spotless, welcoming environment. Calm under pressure, you’ll exceed guest expectations by reacting promptly to requests and maintaining high standards throughout.

As part of the Housekeeping team, you’ll guide with professionalism, punctuality, and a keen eye for detail. Your duties will include overseeing the cleaning of rooms and public areas, promptly reporting maintenance issues, managing linen and supplies, and training new and existing staff. You’ll follow safety guidelines, work closely with the team to create memorable visits, and provide regular updates to the General Manager to ensure smooth operations.
