Overview

The moment a guest steps into one of our hotels, they walk into a genuinely memorable experience. As Head Housekeeper, you’ll assist the Operations Manager in supervising all aspects of housekeeping and laundry to ensure high standards are maintained.

Key Accountabilities

People

• Manage daily staffing, plan and assign work, and set performance and development goals. Provide mentoring, coaching, and feedback to improve employee performance and manage conflicts.
• Train staff in compliance with safety and governmental regulations, ensuring they have the necessary tools and equipment.
• Promote teamwork and quality service through effective communication with other departments.
• Assist with deep cleaning projects and support housekeeping during high-volume periods.

Guest Experience

• Ensure cleanliness and good repair of public areas, guest rooms, linens, and equipment, and advise on improvements.
• Perform housekeeping duties, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Handle guest complaints and special requests to achieve full satisfaction.
• Address the needs of VIPs and repeat visitors.
• Assist in preparing and monitoring the departmental budget, focusing on productivity and expense control.
• Maintain inventory levels, manage costs related to supplies and labor, and promote sustainable practices.

Responsible Business

• Order supplies efficiently, minimize waste, and support green initiatives.
• Maintain procedures for security of lost and found items.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, including serving as manager on duty if needed.

Accountabilities

This role is the top supervisory position in the Housekeeping Department, overseeing a small team of housekeeping and laundry staff.

Key Skills & Experiences

• High school diploma or equivalent, with at least one year of housekeeping and supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate in the local language(s).
