Summary/Objective


Reporting to the Project Manager, the Janitorial Supervisor is responsible for training and supervising janitors and team leads to ensure compliance with contract standards and specifications.


Essential Functions

* Assign duties to employees for cleaning contract areas, providing training to address deficiencies.

* Assist the Project Manager in managing employees with disabilities, focusing on self-improvement of work skills and behavior to enhance employment opportunities.

* Perform or supervise time study evaluations accurately and in a timely manner.

* Document performance issues effectively for files or Case Management.

* Recommend improved methods to Project Management to enhance efficiency and quality.

* Keep records on supplies, inspect equipment for damage or wear.

* Maintain cleaning schedules and equipment maintenance records.

* Notify project management of unusual situations related to employees, equipment, or contract compliance.

* Meet deadlines and fulfill special requests promptly and efficiently.

* Inspect assigned work daily to ensure timely completion according to contract standards.

* Work with the QC Specialist to address deficiencies and provide appropriate training.

* Resolve complaints as necessary to maintain contract compliance.

Safety:

* Ensure all staff perform duties according to safety expectations and procedures.

* Ensure equipment is maintained and functioning properly.

* Communicate safety issues promptly to ensure quick resolution.

* Perform other duties as required by the Project Manager.


Work Environment

The Janitorial Supervisor works in a professional setting and may interact with clients.


Physical Demands

Must be able to push, pull, or carry 40 lbs. occasionally, and up to 25 lbs. frequently. Must be able to stand for long periods, bend, stoop, and handle cleaning chemicals. Good vision is required. Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and dust.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work/Travel

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be required based on business needs.
