Job summary

The Woodlands Country Club, part of Arcis Golf, seeks a Head Golf Professional to lead daily golf operations and deliver an outstanding experience for members and guests at The Woodlands, TX. This role provides guidance to the golf professional team, outside services, tournament operations, and merchandising.

You will build relationships with members, drive golf programming, mentor staff, and uphold Club standards while managing budgets and KPIs to enhance performance.

Qualifications

• PGA Membership is required.
• Experience as Head Golf Professional or similar leadership role.
• Private club experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of tournament operations, golf instruction, merchandising, handicapping, and golf shop operations.
• Proven ability to lead and develop employees.
• Strong interpersonal and member-relations skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Budgeting, labor, inventory, revenue, and expense control experience.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee daily golf operations to ensure exceptional member and guest experiences.
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop staff.
• Maintain strong member engagement and relations across the Club.
• Manage tee sheet, pace of play, starting procedures, and flow of play.
• Coordinate member tournaments, leagues, outings, and club championships.
• Oversee golf merchandising, inventory, displays, and sales performance.
• Develop and promote instruction, clinics, junior golf, and player development.
• Monitor KPIs and drive financial and operational performance.
