Job summary

Bloomfield High School is seeking a Head Girls Golf Coach to lead the program, supervise staff, and promote strong academics and sportsmanship. The role requires leadership, organization, and clear communication to guide student-athletes and coaches within NMAA policies.

The position reports to the District Athletic Director and focuses on developing youth as future leaders while maintaining safety, integrity, and program growth in Bloomfield, New Mexico.

Qualifications

• Valid state coach certification and teaching eligibility preferred.
• NFHS First Aid, Health and Safety; NFHS Bullying; NFHS Concussion training.
• CPR/AED certification and valid driver's license on file.
• Experience supervising a high school sports program and staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all coaches are certified, licensed and cleared by BSD HR.
• Communicate and enforce team rules and eligibility requirements.
• Plan, organize, advertise, and conduct tryouts; maintain selection integrity.
• Coordinate off-season training with district athletic director and schedule.
• Update rosters and season statistics; manage awards lists after the season.
• Maintain records and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Ensure athletes have valid sports physical examinations before participation.
