Job summary

Oldham County Schools is seeking a Head Girls Golf Coach (NOMS 2026-2027). The role involves coaching middle and high school athletes, supervising assistant coaches, and aligning with the district’s extracurricular policies.

The position is stipend-based, yearly, with annual review by the Principal/School Athletic Director. Employment as needed by the district, with compensation per the Extra-Curricular Sponsor Stipend Schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
• 64 semester hours minimum or KHSAA training per Bylaw 27.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Criminal records check as required by Kentucky law.
• First aid and CPR certification and any other required training per KHSAA Bylaw 27.

Responsibilities

• Supervise one or more sports and assist coaching staff.
• Understand and follow oral and written directions.
• Read, interpret and explain game rules, policies and procedures.
• Lift heavy objects as needed.
• Promote school and community sports programs.
• Assist in planning athletic programs with the Principal/AD.
• Organize and supervise practices and drills.
• Teach fundamental skills, team plans and game rules.
• Model sportsmanship and self-control for participants.
• Ensure participant eligibility and liability coverage.
• Provide guidance and a positive role model to students.
• Conduct learning experiences with small groups of athletes.
• Assist in equipment and uniform purchasing for health and safety.
