Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in construction cost estimating, preferably in a leadership role.
• Proven experience in contract negotiation and management.
• In-depth knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for accurate estimates.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and related tools.
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
• ASPE certification is a plus.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment.
• Review plans and specs to determine overall project cost.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers for best pricing and terms.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules and budgets.
• Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Stay updated on industry trends in construction cost estimating.
• Oversee junior estimators and provide guidance and training.
• Participate in project meetings and present cost estimates to stakeholders.
• Resolve issues or discrepancies during estimating process.
