Job summary

Leroy Springs & Company, Inc. seeks an Equestrian Trainer and Supervisor to oversee Anne Springs Close Greenway's riding programs, trails and camps.

The role requires extensive equine experience, leadership, and a strong safety focus to ensure horse readiness for lessons and activities. You will supervise operations, help develop policies, teach lessons, and collaborate with the Farm & Stables Director to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for riders of all levels.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years expiring teaching English riding lessons, including jumping up to 2ft.
• Extensive horse care and riding experience; capable of preparing horses for lesson programs.
• Strong administrative and scheduling skills.
• Proven supervisory experience and teamwork.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid Driver’s License with safe driving record.
• First aid and CPR (will train)

Responsibilities

• Supervise Equestrian Program Operations: horse readiness and assignments for lessons, camps, and trails; develop and implement policies and safety protocols; create lesson plans focused on horsemanship and safety; teach lessons and lead trail rides for various skill levels.
• Team Management: foster a positive work and lesson environment; conduct evaluations of horse handling practices; ensure adequate staffing; review instructor lesson notes for appropriate horse assignments.
• Horse Care and Training: ensure horses receive care and training; report health concerns; finish training on new horses and touch up rides; bring on new horses as they adapt; create training and rehab plans as needed.
• Administration: manage scheduling and coordination with Stable team for trips and programs; provide high level customer service; gather feedback and improve programs
