Qualifications

• Valid Missouri teacher certificate.
• Employment as a teacher in the Jefferson City School District.
• Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coach individual participants in skills for achievement in the sport.
• Plan and schedule regular practice programs in season.
• Work with the athletic director on interscholastic contest scheduling.
• Recommend equipment and uniforms as appropriate.
• Maintain attendance forms and related paperwork.
• Oversee safety conditions of facilities during practices and events.
• Establish performance criteria for eligibility in interscholastic competition.
• Enforce discipline and sportsmanship; manage penalties.
• Demonstrate strong human relations and communication.
• Organize and supervise the total sports program.
• Comply with safety practices and district policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
