Job summary

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a Head Driver to support transportation operations at our Denver location, coordinating with Transportation Supervisors to ensure efficient routing, truck and equipment management, and safety compliance.

This non-supervisory role requires peer leadership, strong communication, and the ability to relay updates and directives to a driver team. The position emphasizes safety and operational excellence in daily duties.

Qualifications

Experience with systems overseeing routing and tracking, and the management of trailers and fleet maintenance.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to operate a box truck safely and efficiently.
Knowledge of traffic laws for large commercial vehicles.
Ability to work independently and follow a schedule.
Flexibility to accommodate changes in pickup routes or schedules.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as point of contact for Transportation Supervisors and relay information.
Safely operate and oversee vehicles and equipment following safety regulations.
Coach and train driver teams to improve performance.
Oversee driver routing and resolve route-related issues.
Coordinate daily transportation activities including donor service and store deliveries.
Conduct safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance.
