Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc. is seeking a dependable Head Cook to join the school food service program. The role focuses on leading daily meal production, maintaining safety procedures, and coordinating with staff to deliver nutritious meals for students in Auburn.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.

• Ability to follow recipes and scale for large batches.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily food production by preparing high-quality meals.
• Maintain clean work areas and oversee storage using FIFO.
• Complete HACCP logs and production records.
• Assist with ordering, stocking, prep lists, freezer pulls, and serving.

Location: On-site at Auburn School District
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am-1pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team-focused Head Cook to join our school food service program. What You’ll Do

• Lead daily food production by preparing high-quality meals, following recipes, supporting special diets, and helping with catering and serving-time readiness.
• Keep the kitchen organized and compliant by maintaining clean work areas, overseeing storage organization using FIFO, completing HACCP logs, production records, inventories, and participation tracking.
• Support food safety by monitoring safe practices and maintaining a healthy, compliant workspace.
• Assist with ordering, stocking, prep lists, freezer pulls, and serving during meal times.
• Help train team members and fill in for other kitchen duties when needed.

What You Bring

• HS Diploma or GED Preferred
• 1 year of cooking experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
