Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc is hiring a dependable Cook to join our school food service program. This on-site role focuses on preparing nutritious meals for students, following provided recipes, and maintaining a clean, safe kitchen.

You’ll work Monday–Friday, 6:30am-2pm, enjoy a daytime schedule that supports work–life balance, and contribute to a positive dining experience in our schools. Training and growth opportunities are available as part of our progressive program.

Qualifications

• 1 year food service experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow recipes and measure ingredients for large batches.
• Dependable with a commitment to excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality meals by following recipes.
• Support daily meal operations, forecasting, and stock/serving during service.
• Maintain food safety and HACCP records.
• Keep the kitchen organized and clean using FIFO practices.
• Communicate with staff and customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Assist with training new staff when needed.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 6:30am-2pm

Lunchtime Solutions is seeking a dependable, team‑focused Cook to join our school food service program. If you take pride in preparing nutritious and delicious meals, enjoy a positive work environment working with students, and want a schedule that supports work–life balance, this role is a great fit.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare and cook high‑quality meals by following provided recipes and ensure everything is ready for scheduled serving times.
• Support daily meal operations by assisting with forecasting, preparing special diet items, helping with special events, and stocking/serving menu items during service.
• Maintain food safety and compliance by following HHFKA serving guidelines, completing HACCP logs and production records, and monitoring participation trends.
• Keep the kitchen running smoothly through regular cleaning, organizing storage areas using FIFO practices, and maintaining a safe, healthy work environment.
• Communicate and collaborate with supervisors, team members, school staff, and customers to ensure smooth operations and great service.
• Contribute to team growth by helping train new staff and filling in other roles when needed.

What You Bring

• 1 year food service experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent standing, bending, twisting, and other physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and convert quantities for large batches.
• Dependability, integrity, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
