Job summary

Pacific Edge Sports Academy in Fairfield, CA is hiring a part-time Wrestling Coach to mentor youth, teach strength and agility, and uphold our safe, supportive culture. You will work with our Programs Manager and coordinate class rotations, attendance, and progress notes.

The role requires at least two years coaching kids and four years athletic experience, with evening and weekend availability during wrestling season. Competitive hourly pay and staff perks are offered.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge in the sport of wrestling.
• Minimum of 2 years experience coaching with children ages 2 and older.
• Minimum of 4 years athletic experience (high school and college preferred).
• Wrestling classes are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, & Fridays from 4:15p-8:15p.
• Regular long-term availability of at minimum three days per week required. Weekend availability during competitive wrestling season (October to April).

Responsibilities

• Follow the designated rotation schedule and curricula.
• Complete all administrative duties asked of you such as verifying attendance, completing safety checks, following lesson plans and updating progress reports of your students.
• Come to work ready to make a positive impact on your students and co-workers.
• Understand the importance of your Student Retention rate.
• Stay engaged in each class, always focusing on your students.
• Help set, maintain, and enforce standard attire policies for the program(s)

In addition to weekday availability, weekend availability is required during competitive wrestling season (October to April). While our scheduling can be flexible with proper notice, we are looking for candidates who can commit to a consistent schedule

Coaching responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Salary Range: $23 to $27 per hour (depending on industry experience)
