Job summary

Seaside Middle School, part of Seaside School District 10, seeks a team-oriented Head Coach to lead the middle school boys basketball program. The role involves overseeing varsity and junior varsity activities, managing staff, and ensuring program compliance with district policies.

Responsibilities include developing the budget, promoting the program, supervising players and practices, and maintaining equipment and records in line with district procedures. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Basketball experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Criminal history clearance (background check and HB 2062).
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• NFHS Coaching Education certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the MS Boys Basketball program under the Athletic Director.
• Select, manage, educate, and evaluate assistant coaches for the program.
• Follow District policies and procedures relevant to this position.
• Instruct and demonstrate skills for individual and team achievement.
• Ensure a certified coach is present at all practices and contests.
• Maintain records and complete required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Enforce discipline policies and promote sportsmanship and healthy lifestyles.
