Job summary

Seaside School District seeks a team-oriented Middle School Boys Basketball Head Coach to administer the MS program under the Athletic Director. Responsibilities include budgeting, promotion, supervising players, and coordinating with the principal. Full duties available upon request.

Ideal candidates have coaching experience, NFHS certification, and a commitment to student-athlete safety and sportsmanship. The position runs under the district contract for the 2026-27 winter season.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Criminal history clearance (background check and HB 2062).
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• NFHS Coaching Education certification required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the varsity and junior varsity teams.
• Select, manage, educate, and evaluate assistant coaches.
• Follows and maintains knowledge of District policies and procedures.
• Instructs and demonstrates skill sets and techniques for individual and team achievement.
• Ensures a certified coach is present at all practices and contests.
• Manages storage, maintenance and inventory of equipment and uniforms.
• Tr avels and supervises student athletes on the team bus to contests.
• Maintains records and completes required paperwork in a timely manner.
