Job summary

Alpha is hiring for a Head Coach to work in person at a campus in New York City or Miami. You will coach Guides and students using performance data and classroom observations to achieve measurable improvements.

The role focuses on developing life skills and academic growth through workshops and hands-on coaching, not traditional instruction. You will lead coaching playbooks, mentor Guides, and document effective practices to raise the standard across the school.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, Organizational Leadership, Child Development, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with elementary-aged children (ages 5-9).
• Experience leading teams and hiring decisions.
• Experience building or growing a program rather than maintaining it.
• Data-driven approach to improving performance with measurable outcomes.
• Strong storytelling and facilitation to engage young children and coach adults.

Responsibilities

• Coach Guides and students using data, observations and feedback to achieve improvements.
• Facilitate workshops for K-3 students on communication, resilience, collaboration, accountability, focus, and life skills.
• Lead one-on-one and small-group coaching to link motivation with academic growth.
• Build and refine repeatable coaching playbooks to raise performance.
• Train and mentor Guides while modeling coaching excellence daily.
