Job summary

Paterson Public Schools seeks a part-time coach for 307 Kennedy High School in Paterson, NJ. The stipend ranges from $9,321 to $10,897 for the spring season (March 9, 2027 – June 14, 2027). Candidates must hold a New Jersey Teacher's or Substitute Teacher Certificate; CPR/AED and safety certifications are required.

Coaching experience is welcome but not required. Daily availability during the spring season is essential, with citizenship/residency or work authorization required.

Qualifications

• Must be available daily during the spring sports season.
• Coaching experience preferred, but not required.
• Must be certified in CPR and AED, and holding a current certificate in both.
• Must obtain a Concussion Awareness and Wellness certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually.
• Must obtain a Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.
• All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in Sports First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Coaching responsibilities for spring sports at 307 Kennedy High School.
• Ensure safety certifications are current and renewed as required.
• Coordinate with athletic department for schedules and trainings.
