Job summary
Paterson Public School District 307 KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL in Paterson, New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Coach for Outdoor Track for the upcoming spring season. The position is part-time with a stipend accompanying duties in athletics and activities in coaching.
Season runs March 9, 2027 to June 14, 2027. Qualifications include NJ Teacher's or Substitute Teacher Certificate, CPR/AED, concussion and heat wellness certificates, and completion of Sports First Aid within one year of hire.
Qualifications
- New Jersey Teacher's Certificate OR Substitute Teacher Certificate; proof of experience required for substitute certificate holder.
- CPR and AED certification current.
- Must obtain a "Concussion Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually.
- Must obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or its equivalent, renewed annually.
- All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".
Responsibilities
- Assist with outdoor track coaching during the spring season.
- Commit to daily availability during the spring sports season.

- Must Obtain a "Heat Acclimatization Awareness and Wellness" certificate or it's equivalent, renewed annually.
- All new coaches will have one year after being hired to successfully complete a course in "Sports First Aid".
- Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
- Pending budget availability
