Job summary

Cedar Point Club in Suffolk, VA seeks an experienced Executive/Head Chef to lead all food production for restaurants, banquets, and outlets. The role includes menu development, recipe creation, and supervising production staff, with a focus on high quality and sanitation.

You will develop and monitor department budgets, ensure cost control, and collaborate with Events for special functions. Strong leadership and financial acumen are essential for success in this full-time position.

Qualifications

• 3 years culinary experience with supervisory/management responsibilities.
• State-certified and/or Serve Safe certified.
• Experience in budget development, fiscal management, and staff management.

Responsibilities

• Plan menus and assist with pricing considering customer needs, costs and holidays.
• Schedule and coordinate chefs and kitchen staff to ensure economical, technically correct production.
• Develop recipes and techniques to ensure high quality and minimize costs; supervise portions.
• Approve procurement of products and food supplies and ensure sanitation standards.
• Manage inventory, budgeted COGS, and monthly financial reporting for the department.
