Job summary

Spectrum 360 A NJ Non Profit Corp. seeks an Athletic Coach for Pleasantville Middle School. The role focuses on developing athletes' skills, sportsmanship and motivation, with supervision by school leadership and the athletic director.

We require NJ certification/eligibility, substitute eligibility and NJ residency with strong communication and integrity. Part-time duties include coaching, practice planning and event coordination, with a seasonal stipend and adherence to district policies.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey instructional certification or eligibility for certification.
• County Substitute Certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to read and write with clear, accurate communication.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment and high conduct standards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of sport fundamentals, safety and development.
• Current residency in New Jersey or willingness to establish residency within one year.

Responsibilities

• Coach student athletes in sport skills and knowledge for success.
• Promote good sportsmanship and enforce rules during practices and games.
• Follow emergency procedures for practice and contests.
• Choose eligible team members and verify eligibility.
• Schedule practices and attend contests for the assigned sport.
• Assist in budgeting and equipment procurement as needed.
• Coordinate with athletic director on events and transportation.
