Job summary

Qualifications

Prior experience in cheerleading as coach or athlete.
Experience working with middle school students preferred.
Ability to teach stunts, tumbling, and choreography.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Connecticut Coaching Certification or willingness to obtain.
First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
Commitment to the winter season schedule.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee cheer practices 2:30 PM–4:00 PM on weekdays.
Develop routines, cheers, and choreography for events and games.
Foster a supportive, positive, and inclusive environment for all team members.
Ensure safety and well-being of students during practices and performances.
Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and school spirit both on and off the field.
Communicate schedules, goals, and expectations with administration, parents, and athletes.
Attend all scheduled home games and events where the team performs.
