Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Head Cashier to lead front-end operations, handling checkout and returns and overseeing the Self-Checkout area. The role focuses on fast, friendly, accurate service while minimizing shrink and coaching new cashiers.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of cashier experience and be prepared to support supervision, training, and day-to-day store operations across multiple front-end areas.

Qualifications

• Head Cashier preferred 1+ years of Cashier experience.

Responsibilities

• Process Checkout and/or Return transactions.
• Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area.
• Provide first level escalation for customer issues and assist in supervision, coaching and training of other Front End Associates.
• Expedite price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental.
