Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service through proactively visiting registers and providing support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer assistance issues at the register.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor/maintain cash register supply levels, and keep cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots.
• Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee proper execution of meal and rest breaks in compliance with company policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and take necessary disciplinary actions.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and good interaction skills.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment like registers, scanners, calculators.
• Good communication skills; able to take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to perform repetitive activities, multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized.
• Must lift/carry up to 30 lbs. and move grocery carts requiring up to 35 lbs. force, for specified durations.
• Strong attention to detail, proficiency with numbers, cash handling, and mathematical skills.
