Essential Functions:

• Assisted Self Check Out
• Demonstrates ability to monitor and identify customers needing assistance at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously.
• Approaches and interacts with customers proactively to recommend products and services.
• Greets, assists, and engages with multiple customers across registers.
• Moves throughout the checkout area, standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and moving products to ensure transaction accuracy.
• Thanks customers and invites them back to Lowe’s.

Customer Service

• Provides SMART customer service, adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, and selecting merchandise.
• Responds promptly to questions, guiding customers through projects when needed.
• Expresses sincere appreciation to customers.
• Shares information about stock, special orders, features, applications, and warranties.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register for transactions, returns, and refunds following guidelines.
• Provides proper change and supports the front-end team.
• Handles security tags, product verification, and bagging.
• Answers phone calls and manages register coverage as needed.

In-stock

• Prepares register area at shifts' start and end, checking functionality and stocking supplies.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Processes customer orders, verifies receipts, and signs loading tickets.
• Reviews and manages online orders and returns.
• Looks up product info and prices for price matching.
• Records store-use items.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Monitors cash and security measures.
• Detects signs of shoplifting and communicates risks.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization following safety standards.
• Ensures a safe environment, conducting safety reviews and hazard identification.
• Operates store equipment as per role requirements.

General

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Less than 1 year of computer experience.
• Less than 1 year of experience with retail technology.
• 1-2 years of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to lift up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation.

Preferences:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in product sales, credit, warranties, and customer needs assessment.
• Experience as a head cashier or in a Lowe’s store.
• Supervisory experience including training and coaching.
• Experience detecting shoplifting signs.
