Job description

The Station Brewing Company | Indio, California

Full-Time | $70,000–$75,000+ DOE

Come Build Something With Us

The Station Brewing Company is a new independent brewery and restaurant coming to Indio, California, and we are looking for the brewer who wants to help define what comes out of our taps.

We are building The Station around a simple idea: great beer, great food, an approachable atmosphere, and a brewery people genuinely want to come back to.

The space, equipment, concept and investment are here.

Now we need the brewer.

This is an opportunity for an experienced brewer who wants more than another production position. You will have the chance to take ownership of a brewing program, help develop our beer identity, create recipes, establish standards and build something from the ground up.

We are equally interested in an established Head Brewer or a talented Lead/Production Brewer who is ready to take the next step and run a program of their own.

The Opportunity

As our brewer, you will have significant involvement in developing The Station’s beer program from day one.

You will:

  • Develop and refine our core beer lineup

  • Create seasonal, rotating and experimental releases

  • Manage brewing, fermentation, conditioning and packaging

  • Establish brewing SOPs and quality-control standards

  • Manage yeast, raw materials and brewing inventory

  • Maintain brewery cleanliness, sanitation and equipment

  • Monitor fermentation and maintain detailed production records

  • Manage kegging and draft-ready beer production

  • Assist with brewery scheduling and production planning

  • Help source ingredients and manage supplier relationships

  • Work with ownership to develop a beer program that fits both the brand and the market

  • Help build a brewery culture centered around quality, consistency and creativity

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who knows how to make excellent beer and takes pride in the details required to make it consistently.

Our ideal candidate has professional brewery experience and a strong understanding of:

  • Wort production and brewhouse operations

  • Fermentation management

  • Yeast health and handling

  • CIP and sanitation procedures

  • Draft and cellar operations

  • Recipe development and scaling

  • Quality control

  • Brewery safety

  • Production planning

  • Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting

Formal brewing education is a plus, but real-world experience, technical knowledge and the quality of your beer matter more to us than a particular credential.

Leadership experience is also a plus, but you do not necessarily need to already hold the title of Head Brewer.

If you’ve spent years brewing great beer for someone else and you’re ready to build a program of your own, we want to hear from you.

About The Station

The Station Brewing Company is an independent brewery and restaurant being built in Indio, California, in the heart of the Coachella Valley.

The concept combines a modern craft brewery with the character of a vintage service station and nostalgia. The goal isn’t to create something overly polished or pretentious. We want The Station to feel comfortable, memorable and distinctly ours.

Our beer program will be a major part of that identity.

We want approachable beers people can drink every week alongside creative releases that give our brewer room to experiment.

We’re not looking for someone to simply reproduce a list of recipes.

We’re looking for someone who wants their fingerprints on the brewery.

What We Offer

  • $70,000–$75,000+ annual salary, depending on experience

  • Full-time leadership position

  • Significant creative influence over the beer program

  • Opportunity to develop recipes and establish a core lineup

  • Existing commercial brewing equipment and infrastructure

  • Direct relationship with ownership

  • Ability to establish brewery systems and standards from the beginning

  • Opportunity to grow alongside a new independent brewery

  • A chance to build something you can genuinely call your own

Location

The Station is located in the Coachella Valley, serving the greater Palm Springs area and a market that welcomes millions of visitors each year for tourism, festivals, events and seasonal travel.

Candidates throughout Southern California are encouraged to apply, including brewers currently working in San Diego, Temecula, Inland Empire, Orange County, Los Angeles and surrounding markets.

Interested?

Tell us about yourself. Tell us about your beer.

We’re ready to talk.
