Job summary

Finney Hospitality Group in Bloomington, IN is seeking an experienced Head Brewer to lead The Tap Brewery's brewing operation. You’ll develop recipes, brew, maintain quality, and guide a small brewery team while overseeing production, inventory, and logistics.

This role combines hands-on brewing with leadership and organization. You’ll collaborate across Finney locations, drive beer quality, manage schedules, and ensure timely delivery to restaurants and the Indiana craft beer community.

Full-Time | $60,000–$75,000 annually, based on experience

The Tap Brewery is looking for an experienced Head Brewer to take the lead of our brewing operation in Bloomington, Indiana.

We're a small, hands-on brewery producing a wide variety of beers for The Tap and other Finney Hospitality Group locations. That means our Head Brewer isn't several layers removed from the beer—they're right in the middle of it.

You’ll have the opportunity to develop recipes, brew, maintain quality, lead a small brewery team, manage production and inventory, and help determine what’s coming out of our tanks next. You'll also oversee the logistics and relationships that keep our beer moving from the brewery to our restaurants and into the broader Indiana craft beer community.

We're looking for someone who combines technical brewing knowledge with creativity, leadership, organization, and a willingness to get their hands dirty.

What We're Looking For

• Professional brewing experience in a commercial brewery environment.

• Strong understanding of the complete brewing process, equipment, production practices, quality control, and brewery safety.

• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends when brewery operations, festivals, events, or production needs require it.
