Job summary

The coach will collaborate with the Athletic Director, plan practices, monitor athlete behavior, ensure safety, and maintain records in accordance with district policies. NFHS/First Aid certifications, CPR, and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching athletics.
• Knowledge of coaching techniques and human behavior.
• Understanding and agreement with district goals for athletic program.
• Familiar with care and treatment of athletic injuries.
• NFHS Coaches Course and Concussion Course completed.
• First Aid and CPR Certification.
• Valid Driver Licence and a 39‑month MVR.

Responsibilities

• Coach participants in skills necessary for successful performance.
• Provide a positive learning environment for student athletes.
• Plan and schedule regular practice programs in season per district policy and AIA regulations.
• Manage athlete behavior during training and events.
• Assist athletic director with scheduling interscholastic contests and equipment purchases.
• Maintain records as required (attendance, insurance, accidents).
• Ensure safety conditions of facilities at all times.
