Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District is seeking an Athletic Coach to lead and mentor student athletes across designated sports. You will structure practices, motivate teams, and ensure safe play according to district and AIA guidelines.

You will work under the Athletic Director and contribute to roster management, eligibility, and event scheduling. The role requires prior coaching experience, current First Aid/CPR certification, and a valid driver's license with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• Experience in coaching and strong understanding of coaching techniques.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Possession of a valid driver license and clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• NFHS Coaches Course and Concussion Course completed.

Responsibilities

• Coach individual participants in skills necessary for successful performance.
• Provide a positive learning environment for athletes.
• Plan and schedule regular practices in season per district policy and AIA regulations.
• Manage athlete behavior during training and competitions.
• Assist athletic director with scheduling interscholastic contests where applicable.
• Maintain records and equipment and oversee safety of facilities.
