Job Summary

Metric is seeking a skilled leader to oversee operations at our new all-day café, Mlli by Metric, in Avondale. This role involves managing the in-house bakery and leading a small team, with plans to expand offerings in the future.

The ideal candidate has experience opening restaurants or bakeries and understands launching new businesses. This role requires leadership, high standards of quality, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage bakery operations, including production, inventory, and safety compliance.
• Train and supervise bakery staff, delegate tasks, and ensure adherence to standards.
• Maintain product quality and consistency through regular checks.
• Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries professionally.
• Monitor budgets, control costs, and manage invoicing.
• Manage inventory levels, place supply orders, and oversee stock rotation.
• Develop new products and menus, incorporating industry trends.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation standards are met through inspections and staff training.
• Oversee bakery equipment maintenance and repairs.

Required Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in bakery or food service management.
• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree is a plus.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of baking techniques, food safety, and inventory management.
• Food Handlers License and Food Safety Manager certification required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions
