Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster, LTD is seeking a Full-Time athletic trainer for one of our local schools. The athletic trainer has the potential to work with athletes of all skill levels and ages.
About:
Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster LTD has contracts with 13 local high schools, 4 colleges, 1 professional team, and PA Classics. Elizabethtown College is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Landmark Conference and offers 24 NCAA varsity sports.
Summary/Objective:
The Head Athletic Trainer will manage and mentor a team of athletic trainers. The candidate shall demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and collaborative skills, working closely with other athletic trainers, strength and conditioning staff, athletic administrators, and sport coaches to support the health, safety, and performance of Elizabethtown College student-athletes and advance the overall mission of both organizations. The candidate will also work closely with Orthopedic Associates of Lancaster’s physicians and other healthcare professionals when advanced medical care is needed.
Responsibilities:
Required Qualifications:
Certification by the Board of Certification (BOC).
Bachelor's Degree is required in athletic training from a CAATE accredited university athletic training program.
Licensure by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medicine.
Must hold a current BLS for healthcare providers.
Must have all state required clearances.
Minimum of four (4) years of Athletic Training experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree preferred in athletic training from a CAATE accredited university athletic training program.
Strong communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized verbal and written interactions with patients and co-workers.
Must be familiar with NCAA governing rules.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as a team member.
Five (5) or more years of Athletic Training experience is preferred.
