Job summary

The University of Chicago seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive care for the Head and Neck Program within the Hematology/Oncology section of the Department of Medicine.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, document examinations, coordinate tests, and participate in conferences and continued education to advance hematology/oncology care.

Qualifications

• Education: college or university degree from an accredited school/college.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience.
• Current or eligible for Illinois licensure/registration; MSO privileging.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage a patient caseload.
• Assess, diagnose, initiate delegated medical treatments and monitor care.
• Provide holistic, evidence-based care shaped by science and practice.
• Staff clinics, attend conferences, and manage assigned patients’ care.
• Document exams and management changes per government guidelines.
• Arrange tests, follow up results, and coordinate longitudinal care.
• Perform reporting, chart reviews, and patient communications as needed.
• Attend weekly conferences and ongoing education in hematology/oncology.
• Develop patient education programs to support informed decisions.
