Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a welding technician to operate equipment that fuses polyethylene pipe and travel to various job sites. A Company Vehicle will be used, and an acceptable MVR is required. This role includes lifting, warehouse duties, and potential overnight travel.

Candidates should have HS diploma or GED, 0-2 years experience, and knowledge of McElroy fusion equipment. Medical benefits and retirement options are provided.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Determine method and equipment for welding thermoplastic polyethylene pipe.
• Provide and assist in custom electric and butt-welding HDPE piping systems and repairs.
• Communicate with customers to assist with their needs.
• Identify and prioritize fusion welds and needed repairs on customer projects.
• Maintain welding procedures to meet quality standards.
• Transport fusion equipment to job site.
• Capable of responding to short notice repairs.
• Capable of operating forklift and assisting in warehouse operations.
